At Empire on Norton, Courtland Studio LLC worked with the developer to create a residential community where luxury and inspiration meet. Located in West Hollywood, the project pairs modern architecture with a relaxed, sustainable landscape to support an easy and sophisticated urban lifestyle.

Curb Appeal & Art-Centric Entryway

The street-level experience at Empire on Norton establishes a bold architectural identity.

• The Gallery Entry features a minimalist gallery-style entryway, anchored a striking sculpture by renowned artist Heath Satow.
• Sustainable Modernism: The hardscape and planting elements were selected to provide a “warm modern” aesthetic, ensuring strong curb appeal that integrates seamlessly into the vibrant WeHo streetscape.

The Rooftop Terrace: 360-Degree Resort Living

The crown jewel of the building is the expansive Rooftop Terrace, designed to be the ultimate social hub with panoramic 360-degree views of the Los Angeles cityscape.

• The Social Hub: A fully equipped outdoor kitchen with a gas BBQ, wet bar, and custom dining area.
• Recreational Amenities: Features include a covered cabana, a dedicated ping pong area, outdoor TV lounge, and a designer fire table for evening gatherings.

The Courtyard: A Calming Urban Retreat

Contrasting the high-energy rooftop, the central outdoor courtyard was designed as a sanctuary for personal space and privacy.

• Plant Palette: We utilized a selection of lush, low-water Mediterranean species and ornamental grasses to create a “calming” atmosphere.
• Privacy by Design: Strategic planting paired with elevated planter boxes provides residents with quiet “outdoor rooms”, offering a tranquil escape from the fast-paced city.
